Lovely collection Kedi and great photos, there's a beach not far from Berwick where there are loads of fossils. We used to take Johnnie there when he was young and spent many happy hours amongst the rocks. We also used to go to Lindisfarne to look for St Cuthberts beads which are small round parts of a fossilised animal, a type of Crinoid Columnal. Here's a link for more info www.nhm.ac.uk/nature-online/earth/fossils/fossil-folklore/fossil_types/crinoids.htm -

Thanks DAG and Alfie.
Perhaps you might still have some St Cuthberts beads, Alfie. If so, it would be nice to see them. I admit to never hearing about them, very interesting.
Good link, thanks for it, I've saved it to Favourites.
