RE Nazis house I wish  As I said on another post on here a friend of mine does actually live in the castle, ok so he does caretaker work and lives in a small flat at the entrance but it's a pretty impressive address.  The main part of the castle is now flats for which you have to be approved even if you can afford the rent. 10 years ago the rent per year was more than a years gross wages for me. I don't know what it is now. Still think of all the visitors wandering round out side your door, there has to be some drawbacks. |

We went august 07 and stayed at Beadnel for a week. Visited Hadrian's wall (on the way up) Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Seahouses, Berwick, Lindesfarne, Bamburgh Castle and Cragside House on the way back.
The weather was not that good being the weekend of the flooding nationwide.
We booked a trip to the Farnes on what we hoped would be the best day. Good choice as it was the only sunny day we had.
A beautiful county.
