Heron

This afternoon when I went to check my greenhouse and found this big lad in my garden, He was amongst my potatoes and was unable to fly away. After I took the photos I let him into the field next to my garden where he rested for a while the flew away.

Brilliant, fantastic, what luck you have with these beautiful birds seemingly just waiting for you to come along with your camera. Am I jealous - yes!

I wonder what induced him to land in your potato patch, I didn't know that there were vegetarian herons Seriously, he was lucky that you came out and found him, he might have got tangled up in that wire fence right near him.
