At long last I have finally got some photo's of our Goldie, Lily and Raffles. Number 1 is our Goldie and the pump seen behind him/her is approx 2.50 inches wide so as to give you an idea of his/her size, because we aren't really sure as to which sex Goldie is, even though I have had this same goldfish about 7 years now and seriously must be about 6 inches in length. Now meet our 'Lily' who was originally Lilac and so called 'Lilac-Lil' until some air-borne mites got to her, she lost a lot of her feathers, we put drops on her feathers that were left and so saved her, Bless her and now simply called 'Lily' and we Love her. Finally, this is our 'Raffles' who I have had about 6 years and can be a Pain in the finger, If he gets to nip you. We still Love him as well. Rusty is to follow.

A nice tour of your menagerie mikkel, they certainly all look well cared for, thank you for sharing!
For no particular reason it reminded me of when my grandmother had a budgerigar and her cat used to sleep along side of the cage and seemed to like having her fur pecked by the bird!

Every morning when we uncover the birds, Rusty has to be beside us to say his little "Good morning." to them and often tries to give them a lick. When I change their millett sprays, Rusty has to make sure I do it right.

I love hearing the birds chirp, so cheerful. Budgies are especially nice as they chatter on for a long time.
I used to have one as a kid, took it over from my cousin when he went into the Air Force. I used to put a ring on his head and he would walk around like a crowned king.

Love the menagerie Mikkel I would hate to live without our pets, 2 cats ,3 dogs and a tank of tropical fish at the moment. Our son bought his partner a pair of Love Birds for Christmas I've never heard such wrongly named creatures, they squabble all the time.

I Adore our pets. Lily the budgie makes me laugh at times, even though right now she is chirping away. She comes to one end of the cage, hangs on, then literally turns her body so she has her back to the bars, twists her head and makes a pinging noise on one of the bars with her beak. Every time she does it and I get my camera to get a picture, so she stops. ;D

I very much regret to inform you all that 'Raffles' sadly passed over two weeks ago tomorrow followig a massive stroke, or heart attack. He was still, but just alive when I found him slumped in his cage, yet breathing. I managed to get him out of the cage and he died in my hand seconds later. I still miss him and call the new one by his name. Please meet 'Korky' The Cockatiel. He is aged about six months so we have been told. He already whistles a lot and even mimics the phone ringing from where we bought hm.

Looking back, I noticed I hadn't added a photo of Rusty our Blue-Eyed Boy Jack Russell and who I rehomed some 7 years ago, so here you are.

We have had Korky 3 weeks on Tuesday, so he is still quite nervous, but given time, i hope to get him finger tame.
As for Rusty, I re-homed him about 7-8 years ago after being Seriously depressed and on the advice of my then GP. He has recently proved to be so Very affectionate. From what we can make out, Rusty was ill-treated before I got him He has had at some time been Badly abused, even to having a broken leg, he has 2 shotgun pellets in him, and seeing as they give him no trouble, so we have left them in.
He still HATES to this day, white vans, Postmen/women, motorbikes, push bikes, carrier bags and claw hammers.

This tells us a lot, doesn't it? "He still HATES to this day, white vans, Postmen/women, motorbikes, push bikes, carrier bags and claw hammers." He must have some really awful memories of incidents connected with the above, poor poppet. Thank goodness he has a good home with you both now. How can people be so cruel, it is beyond my understanding.
