Due to a recent neighbours extension that has just been built I am now overlooked and wish to mask it out with a tree.
The requirements for the tree are:
Must be evergreen Must be quick to establish but not grow any higher than about 15 feet or at least be easily maintained and kept under control.
Must grow to at least 12 feet high
Must be able to walk underneath it with ease, so the mass of foliage needs to be between say 6 feet and 12 feet above ground
Should have a reasonable spread, say about 8 feet min.
Oh and as the main central feature in the garden it must look nice! ;D
Any ideas?

In answer to this Dag, I saw a tree locally and asked the owner what it was called, but she didn't know. When I next pass by it when walking to the local shop, I will endeavour to get a picture, get it identified and let you know.

Thank you mikkel, much appreciated.
As it happens, I have just discovered what looks like the ideal tree/bush at a local nursery, and it is called:
Photinia, Red Robin
Evergreen, red leaves in the summer and berries later, can be trained to any size/shape, just need to dig a big hole now and buy one! ;D
