Good shots i dont have any snails in my pond..I would have been tempted to take one out the pond and put the macro setting on it so i got the snail up real close.. then put him back after.

Great shots.... I especially like the first. The colors in the second photo are really nice.
I feel so bad for snails. I know at times I have to put out some snail bait or they just destroy my flowers. Most of the time I will gather them up .... I go on a snail hunt and I will put them in my garden clippings and weedings ... under the lid. I figure they get more time that way. When I occasionally step on one ... I say "sorry".............
I didn't know that snails were good for a pond. We have a pond and with as many snails as I have I've never seen them in my pond. I'll have to take a few and put them in. I would assume that they eat the algae.
Your underwater shot is so clear! ........

Thanks Jeanne.
No good putting your garden snails in the pond, they'd probably drowned as they are a different sort. Strange that you don't have any - how old is your pond?
Ours appeared by themselves - I guess they or their eggs came in with plants or birds/ducks. Do you know anyone with a pond - perhaps they can help you out with some water snails. If not, ask in a garden center that sells pond stuff, they might have some.

I don't think we have any in our pond, where do they come from? Do they live out of the water at all or are they always in deep water? I think we had some really tiny ones in our tank before.

I think they get brought in by ducks or water plants. At any rate, we never bought any, they appeared after a while. Do try to get some as they are good for the pond.
They live in the water all of the time. We mainly see ours either along the shallow edges or crawling upside down on the water surface, but I guess they go deep-sea diving, too.
