Thought I would put a few pics of Mantises here. This one was in my brother's garden in Crete.   Female laying egg case at a Nature Reserve near Chania, Crete  This one was on the back wall of a Truck Stop/Restaurant somewhere in South Dakota . The wall was full of resting moths so it was just biding it's time.  Praying |

I've seen Praying Mantises in real and also taken some pics of them, but nothing to compare with these ones, they are brilliant and I am greener with envy than the Mantis ;D What great luck to have been there at just the right moment when the one was laying the egg case! A rare picture, well caught and thanks for sharing with us Strongy. |
