Forward Goes The Bramley Line
Forward goes the Bramley Line No use looking back Forward! Is the word, Continuing up the track! Though the way has been stormy Still we carry on; Forward goes the railway Where many trains have gone.
Troubles have been in our way Obstacles galore! But we still surge forward Determined ever more! For our determination is forever strong As we carry on; Forward goes the railway Where many trains have gone.
Follow this we will Because we want to be Where the trains once travelled Beautiful, and free! Forward then those determined, We will carry on; Forward goes the railway Where many trains have gone!

mikkel, I think that is a good brave poem of yours and certainly demonstrates the grit and determination required by your team of volunteers to turn it into reality! I wish you every continued success to complete your mission!

Mikkel, well done, I didn't know that you wrote poetry. Is this your first attempt or have you written more? If so, then we'd like to read it too. Thank you for sharing with us.

I have to confess, I used to try my hand at it many years ago, but wasn't that good in my opinion. After doing a 'Reading' at a Carol Service on Sunday night, I decided to use part of it, but reword parts, so as to read as it does.
The part that gave me the idea, was 'Continuing up the track' and even though the way I have reworded it, is 100% true as to how a number of us feel.

Isn't it always ourselves who are the strictest judges?

Indeed, but I think that is how it should be!
