I just googled that first one, scotkat, and now I finally know what it is and beautiful but poisonous. We used to have some years ago but lost it somehow. I always admire it when I see it in anyone elses garden. It makes a lovely colour splash. I love Paeonias but don't have much luck with them, think it is too shady where ours are planted. When you move them, they take some years to feel at home and start blooming. Still, we would have been better off replanting ours long ago.
