So you thoroughly soak this moss thingy in water before you start. You did tell me that a couple of days ago.
But then, I think you must tell us exactly what you are doing step by step as well as showing the pictures. (sorry if I am being dense ;D)
Do you have all the greenery there and make the wreath according to what you have, or do you decide beforehand what is to go on it and only have those particular greenery bits in?
Do you cut the branches and taper the ends all in one go, or do you do it bit by bit according to what is needed?
Are those staple-type nails I see in the box?
Also, do you work from the inside of the moss ring out, or from the outer edge inwards?
We have Mahonia in our garden, but I have never thought to use it when (trying) to make a table decoration. Does it hold well / last long?

Soory ment to do that. Step 1 soak oasis well.
Most is from garden what I dont have can get from friends and if not then need to buy ,the above wreath is Noble fir branches and bough tin bundles from Dobbies.
Cut bit by bit takes time and mine made to order not like florists are to order but mass made in a hurry .
Mine gets TLC as I make for my brother to include our parents and each order I get is treated same way.
Yes got these at my wholesaler its wire and just push them in to branches and this secures.
I wish had bought greeen coated as they would not be seen ,but have tried to hide. I start like a clock Midday,6pm,3pm 9pm on the outer then fill in .
Yes Mahonia does last well. Wreaths arr out to elements of weather and shall last duration untill lifeted Mid a January from cemetrys.
And if taken indoors as cutflower even only lives short tiem in heat alwas got more on bush.
Hope this has been of some help.

All clear now, scotkat, thanks I find it interesting that you say " I start like a clock Midday,6pm,3pm 9pm on the outer then fill in ." I would have gone all around in one go. This is a very good tip and I can see that you get a much better result by doing it like this. Many thanks
