Very simple but yummy dish....
9 x 13 baking pan - glass
6 good sized yams
- wash and peel skin
- cut ea. length wise
- cut slices down the length of the ea. yam
- place yams in baking pan (trying to keep each yam somewhat intact)
1 stick of butter
- cut stick of butter into six equal pieces
- place one butter slice on each of the six yams
1/3 cup rum
-pour over yams
2 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
-sprinkle over yams
1/2 brown sugar
- sprinkle over yams
bake @ 350 for 30 - 40 minutes
mini marsh mellows (optional)
- top yams with 1 package of mini marsh mellows last ten minutes
