A couple of months ago, a friend of ours moved from a 3-bedroom house to a 1-bedroom bungalow and I started to tidy up the garden because the lady can't do it herself. Seeing as she also wanted to put a Fishpond in, I asked where and she pointed out that there WAS one where this plant was. Upon starting on the garden, I stood where this Fuschia was and my foot sunk Fast. Seeing as I was wearing Trainers, I very soon pulled back. After a little bit of clearing, this was underneath and some total R. Sole had dumped in it, bird feeders, bird boxes, Electrical wire and Pump for a pond, flower basket holders, some whicker nest boxes, sponge, Large stones as in picture, Several small statue like items and one Large one that WAS somewhat heavy. We also found a family of Frogs totalling 14 in all, but only after bailing out half of the water seen first. By the time another friend of Our Friend and I had finished for the day, this was what we left, minus the swing bin which had held the frogs while we cleared the pond, then put them back until we return next week.

You are doing a grand job there mikkel, that situation was obviously very dangerous, some people are just so irresponsible ....................... That looks a lovely garden beyond, can you get some nice pics for ME later? ;D

Last week after digging out, the actual pond was about 2 feet at the deepest point. The water seen in the photo's, is about 9 inches deep, but since filled somewhat and from the rain had last night. Most annoyingly, I never got there today because of the weather and if you'll excuse the pun here, being too wet to do a lot. I realise the frogs and eventual fish that are going in there are wet anyway, but I couldn't see the point of me getting wet while digging in the rain.

Hi Mikkel, it is not a good time to be doing all this work on the pond due to the weather also it is winter and its going to be hard on you and your friend. Best to cover the hole and restart in the spring.

Best to cover the hole and restart in the spring. Normally we would, BUT, this time there are some fish that need shifting Fast because the Friend is trying like mad to sell the original place, otherwise we would have left it.

With the weather as it is, I can't see you getting this job finished before the spring, mikkel.
The lady will just have to put the fish somewhere else in the meantime. What are they, goldfish?

Very Large Goldfish and the dammed pump keeps throwing the Trip-Switch for some unknown reason, plus the house sale has almost been completed, so she would like the fish transferred as soon as possible.

Our friends garden has now been finished, along with the pond that I started for her, but not finished due to a few problems for me personally. Not only has the weather been against me on the days I had intended to go, but the one day it was so very nice, I was laid-up with a badly trapped nerve in my back, then my Partner had to be nursed. A relative of our frend kindly finished off for me.

Glad to hear that the garden and pond have been finished now. It certainly wasn't a job to do in the wintertime.
