Trying to experiment with different mediums etc. Picked some lavender and some heather a few weeks back and dried it in books. Have dried a few more flowers etc:

These look like a good idea Jen, I take it that you have used pebbles or similar and some kind of lacquer to set the dried flowers in it? The items in reply #3 above look really wonderful but you have not said anything about them?

Ha ha! Yes sorry, I am always rushed for time. The first ones have bits of my garden, placed in a book to flatten and dry, then glazed with Japlac. Japlac is better than polyurethane for crafting (apparently). It certainly gives out minimal fumes. The others have been embellished with single origami tiles and glazed. Japlac works fine on paper and card. I also use permanent markers on some:

I have also been testing out paints for material. As I have only just been doing this for two weeks, and in limited time, I have a lot to learn. Currently I am testing out acrylic paints to make magnets etc with little scenes on, but I fear I am not a good enough artist. Will post the outcome here anyway
