I feel these are horrible little things. According to 'Experts' as they call themselves, the earwig doesn't like the human ear, but I can deny their claims because years ago I had one trying to get in my ear. Natuarally, when you have a 'tickle' of the ear, you attempt to stop whatever the cause and so I did, only to discover it was an earwig. Where it came from, I do not know, but it most definately was attempting to crawl into my ear. Yuk!

OMG, how awful I bet I'll think of that every time my ear itches now.

Ummm sounds nasty, but not as bad as my father who when he was young, had a bee crawl inside his ear and stung him, which knocked him out!
He remained terrified of bees all his life!

I always think of earwigs as ugly, but you have managed to make one look fairly elegant with that lovely pink flower. ;D

I can well believe that, DAG, I think everyone would have. It was a wonder that nothing worse came of that I like it when I pick up a flower pot and find a whole nest of tiny baby earwigs or wood lice, they look so dinky. Then I feel bad about having disturbed them as they scatter in all directions.
