Does it really last so long, DAG? It is gorgeous and I do so hope that it is still in bloom when we arrive - I'll have my camera ready to shoot!
It's like the blue of the Ceonothus moved from above head level to foot level.
Bet that clump of Fuchsia Mint gives a lovely show later on ;D
Looking at this picture, I don't know where you would have hoed anyway. I think both you and Peter just like to inflict yourselves with unnecessary work - and then to brag about how difficult it all was and look for praise. Not from me for such a job. ;D

My Ceanothus is a fairly true blue, but the J's Blue is more mauve in colour by comparison.
As for the Mint-Fuchsia ;D yes it will give a nice show later on, actually a neighbour gave it to me about 8 years ago and I planted it where the rockery is now and the young Eric & Eddy almost killed it! But to my surprise it bounded back the next year and did fairly well for a few years and eventually I moved it a few feet to where the pond is now.
A few years later I liked it so much that I actually built part of the rockery pond area around it and left it there in a partly boggy soil. That year it just took off and became so large that I had to move it the next year to its present position. It sulked for a couple of years but once again it bounded back and last year did so well that I had to cut it well back this year! So watch this space!
With regard to the hoeing, its alright for you, you have a resident gardener! I am the resident gardener! ;D

I was lucky and got to see this marvellous blue geranium in real, a real eye-catcher. Even though it had rained a lot a few days before, it was still covered in these wonderful blue flowers. I could see it from my seat at the dining table too, I just had to turn my head to the left and there it was, a great mound of it, almost making you forget everything else! There were some lovely poppies in DAG and Arney's garden, too. These yellow ones looking up at me like little suns - - and lovely orange ones, which I unfortunately didn't have my camera set right to catch the real beauty of them. Sorry about that.

I didn't even realize you had taken them kedi, that was quick, my 7 year old camera has to be beaten into submission before it will even consider taking a photograph! ;D

Thank you folks, and what a difference a few days of sunshine have made, I picked 184 tomatoes today, about 170 off the Gartenperle hanging basket tomatoes which brings my total count this year to 1103.
Sounds a lot but these are all cherry tomatoes and we have kept up with them so none have been frozen so far this year which is the first time, but there were only 2 plants in the ground so I was not expecting so much anyway.
