You can buy a glass of pommegranit juice at stands along the road in Turkey, very refreshing in the heat. I don't like eating them though, too much work with all of those pips. I got some juice on a pair of beige slacks once, makes the most awful stains that are impossible to remove.

Papayas - grown in Kedi Junior's garden in Florida. He brought these two back with him a couple of weeks ago, the biggest one is almost 9 inches long. We bought the tree last April-May when we were there on holiday, along with a couple of other fruit trees. It was only about 1.5 meters tall. There was no sign of even flowers at that time but when the kids went over during the summer holidays, there was. And now fruit!!! We saw papaya trees in Cyprus and we have come to the conclusion that they must be wonder trees. We are convinced that no other tree can grow and produce fruit at the rate they do.

There are quite a lot of huge mango trees in the old part of Bradenton. It looks so funny to see the fruits hanging on "strings" from the trees -
