Thanks wf, windy & forestivory. There are lots of things in bud now. The icy wind ruined most of my shots this morning but these two are fairly decent - Rhododendron - Boxwood - Windy - the Helleboras are worth having, in spite of being poisonous, as they come back every year once they have settled in. Just give them a light shade and then leave them in peace. I read that they are good vase flowers, but I never cut mine, I would much rather see them in the garden. Wyldeflower - the corkscrew hazel is another thing worth having. It doesn't grow very quick so even a smaller garden is suitable and you can prune it back if it does get too big. It makes a nice show in the winter even when the leaves are all gone. Use the cut-off bits as dry decoration or in with flowers.

Really nice. I love the corkscrew Hazel. Costs a fortune to buy branches for decoration, and even more painted.

Thanks storminstaffs. Snowdrops again, this is the nicest clump of them this year - A Foxglove rosette - An old tree root, now quite covered in moss. It makes a nice background for flowering plants in the spring. A couple of views of the garden -
