Other names for the House Lime are African Hemp, African Linden and the Latin name is Sparmannia africana.
Sis, you do know this plant as I gave you a clipping many years ago and it got too big for Little Howards so you took it in to work.
DAG, I did offer you a clipping two years ago but since it can get rather big, you declined.
As it is now, I need to start a new one off as my plant is so old, looks untidy and only has one stem left that blooms. The rest is just dried out wood.

Ah, yes, now I know it is African Hemp (Sparmania africana). I hate to disagree here, Sis, but I did not take this into work as it got too big as I never got it to grow in the UK. I took the Begonia argenteo-guttata (Trout Begonia which Dave Williams' Mum originally gave me in Toadstool Manor in about 1983) into work (called Tiny Tim as he achieved a height of 15 feet) which I eventually gave to Val when he was aged 25 or so) and I have his sibling (Walter Trout) here who is now 10 or more. You did, however, give me a cutting of this plant that I think you got from Luz ? and I couldn't get it rooted here either. Irrespective, I think it is absolutely beautiful and I can't figure where this name House Lime comes from ... ? ... perhaps you have a link I can't find ...

Thanks for those, Sis ... funny I couldn't get anything up on House Lime from either Yahoo or Google ... of course I rarely look past page two!
The only Sparmannia africana I have seen is a massive one in the castle gardens at Tavira and it has finished blooming when I saw it, just the dead flowerheads.
On reflection, the cutting you got here that I think was from Luz was a Dombeya wallichii (Pink Ball) and there's one by O Nau restaurant on Praia Grande, Ferragudo next to the lime tree with pips.
