A long shot, but have a look at E leucoxylon rosea.
I think unless your able to grow the various types of gum to flowering and maturity they are very difficult to tell apart and actually get to know.
Sadly I cant, dont have the climate or space, especially the red flowered ones.
Nice trees though.

You may have seen I also put it up on GC and theplantman said the same thing.
It's such a delicate and lovely tree and I must get a good picture of it and put here. I think Sis and/or DAG took a pic also but it was so windy that day it was very difficult. Then Sis took a cutting and put it in a little vase here and I forgot to photograph it till it was almost dead .... doh!
I just knew it wasn't the E ficifolia which you had identified a couple of years ago when I bought Izzy ... the large tree with huge clusters of red blooms.

Yep I did notice plantman had come up with the same name, I think he was 4 minutes faster than me.
