Yes, I totally agree with DAG, it is brilliantly caught, Alfie. It looks like a Daddy Long Legs.

Thanks for the comments Kedi and Dag he was sitting on a leaf just next to the bridge and luckily I had the camera with me. I had another look on Google and as far as I can see He's a harvester spider Kedi. Here's another shot I got of him before he got bored and went away. Alfie

Another great shot, Alfie. I must remember that as I tend to call all long-legged spiders Daddy Long Legs. This one does look a bit different with the black legs with light markings at the joints and the body looks longish rather than round.

Came face to face with this monster in the bathroom this afternoon, so I took him outside and he posed for this photo Alfie

Oh, he is a beauty, Alfie! The detail on the head is soooo good. Wish I had been there to see him in real, but thanks for getting such a brilliant pic of him and sharing it with us.

That is brilliant, Alfie! I've never seen a spider doing that before. Lucky you being in the right place at the right time. How tidily it got out of the old skin without tearing or breaking anything off. Fascinating. Thanks for sharing.
