This is the first decent photo I have ever managed to get of a bird in the garden.

How's this for close-up? Literally a foot away from my hand and face at times.

A wonderful close-up, Mikkel. No cropping necessary there.

Sorry Alfie, but he happens to be a She and was feeding her young in the bush above. Very soon after I became aware of her, I ran indoors to get my camera and just remained patient in waiting for her to return, which she did several times, even when I was on my hands and knees with her less than a foot from my face. I do intend to get her on my finger soon, but have to spend more time in the garden first and all being well, that will be Friday afternoon, because I have the chance to go out on Saturday after all, now the Exhibition 'The Club' were due to attend, had to be called off.
Fingers crossed, I MIGHT be getting to travel behind the elusive City of Truro, IF it is running.

It gives me tremendous pleasure to say Yvonne's hair is growing faster than mine at present, thank you Dag.
All being well, I will not only get to see City of Truro tomorrow, but travel behind it as well. A mate and I are going together and so after all this time, my dream should come true. If I do, photo's will get posted.
As for my friendly Robin, I regret to say she hasn't been about today just yet. I will continue to look for her though.

Fantastic Mikkel the only thing that spoils it for me is the date marker without that it would make an excellent picture for your christmas cards. I hope you don't mind but I've made this up by cropping it out to show you what I mean, I'm sure many of your friends would be happy to recieve a card like this especially when they see it's one of your own photos Your very lucky to have such a tame bird looking forward to seeing more pics. Have a great day out tomorrow Alfie
