That's it, Alfie, thanks!
The article was very interesting. I didn't know that they can be kept as pets, not that I want one or more as such.

;D ;D Oh sorry Alfie, I missed your post somehow, oooh ahhhhh, yes it is enough to give you nightmares!
Reminds me of when my mother bought a fresh eel and when she got home and laid it on the slab, was just ready to cut the head off and the head moved and bit the knife!
Of course it was dead, just the nerves still working but it was scary! ;D
I guess we are not ready to go back to life in the raw just yet! ;D

No-sir-ree! I think I would rather starve, or just eat grass and leaves.

Ah but it all depends on how hungry you are really. There was a true documentary film years ago about a scientist who shut himself away on a desert island with only some simple essentials and had to manage with the certain knowledge that a ship would not return for 6 months.
Unfortunately there was a storm and he lost most of his gear and was really starving and no way to call for help.
He said that to start with, when you catch the fish you cook it, but when you get more hungry you just grab it, bite the head off and eat it raw!
So we have become so soft because food is too readily available! ;D

YUK!!! At this rate, I am going to be put off my lunch! However, I think it is true, it all depends on how hungry you are, really hungry, not just peckish.
