Today I had my first lot of Feltham first peas. I stir fried the young pod but will save some for the peas to form.

I had no luck with the peas last year, had about 10 pods out of the lot, so shan't bother this year.
I like the young pods, I have some in the freezer - store-bought ones though.

Peas like light soil they dont like heavy soil and dont like being water logged. I put my peas in a raised bed. When I made my raised bed i piled it with old compost from the compost bin, wet a load of newspapers and layered it with 3 bags of multipurpose compost. left it a few days and then put the peas in.make sure to cover the raised bed with net or else the birds will get at it. Also make sure to water them until they germinat. It only takes 4 to 5 days germination. i will take a pic of my second box of Sugar peas, they are just popping up from seed. So Kedi try this method, you will only need a small box or even a wide mesh bag.
