 Waiting for mum

I took these pics of this little chap a couple of weeks ago, I think he had fallen out of the nest as he could not fly, I kept an eye on him all day but as evening was closing in and mum didn't seem to have come for him I got the ladders out and popped him back in the nest ( we have two cats so he wouldn't have survived the night ). The good news is he's now flying about with his brothers and sisters, so all's well that ends well.

Fantastic photos, Alfie! A beautiful bird and brilliant close-ups, the detail is amazing. :)

How close did you get to him for the photos - good thing you can't see how green I am ;)

What camera do you have, please? Did you use a tripod?

PS - I should have also said that I'm glad you managed to save him from being supper for your cats. That from a great cat lover.

Good grief Alfie! ;D ;D ;D

I don't think I have ever seen a bird in quite so much closeup detail as that, absolutely amazing!

Looking forward to seeing more of your work. :)
