They are lovely, megglessar. How old are they and are they related?

I note that Jay has a brown and a blue eye, does that occur often in dogs? I've seen it now and then in cats.

I did not know you had such lovely dogs J. I take it you dont have cats, I have two. Lost Colin the British Blue last year on the allotment in July and replaced him with Tammy the ginger moggy. Kattie is now 4 years old.

Three Beautiful Borders. I had one and named her Lady because she was one (Bless her) until about ten years back and she had a Massive Stroke that sadly killed her. Prior to Lady, I too had a British Blue that got bitten by a Rat (Yuk!), then had cat Cancer and had to be sadly put to sleep.

Jay with the blue eye is 7, it is quite common for collies to have one or two blue eyes, Moss in the middle is 5, Max is coming up 2 and I also have Meg aged 8 who's camera shy!
They are all rescues except Jay who is a qualified search & rescue dog - Moss does flyball though is nervous of people - Max is being trained for working trials.

When I had the smallholding I had 3 cats who did a wonderful job of keeping the vermin down - the last one died last year and was found curled up under a neighbours hedge, due to being on a busy road I won't have another cat, the fact that there's open fields behind me but they prefer to go across the road amazes me!

Thanks for telling us a bit about your collies, megglessar.

From your posts, I see that you are a great animal lover, like all of us here on Mother Earth.

Mikkel, sorry to hear about Lady and your cat, even after so long it still hurts. But we do have all the lovely memories, don't we.

I must try to find the photo's of Lady & Smokey - British Blue cat. I always try to make a fuss of any Border I meet.
